Sir Don Curry visits Norwich

Sir Don Curry, Chairman of DEFRA's Sustainable Food and Farming Strategy (SFFS), visited Norwich on 8th and 9th October to see how the startegy is being delivered in the region.

Sir Don met members of the East of England Sustainable Food and Farming Industry Group on 8th October to discuss issues concerning food and farming businesses and to hear about the effects of the recent animal disease outbreaks in the livestock industry.

On the 9th October he visited the John Innes Centre at the Norwich Research Park to hear about research and development work being undertaken to address the challenges faced by the agri-food sector.  He also heard about the work of Renewable East and CRed (a University of East Anglia project) into bio-renewable energy.
