Overall communications and publicity matters for European Structural Funds in the East of England are overseen by the Structural Funds Communications Group. Publicity for structural funds is undertaken in association with marketing communications company, Shorthose Russell, who are responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive publicity plan designed to engage partners and stakeholders.
Projects part-funded by European Structural Funds are required to fulfil specific publicity requirements in accordance with European Commission regulations.

Shorthose Russell
Marketing communications agency Shorthose Russell has been appointed to publicise the impact of European Structural Funds in the region on behalf of the East of England European Partnership. Contacts are members of the Structural Funds Communications Group.
Shorthose Russell’s objectives are to:
- Raise awareness of EU structural funds programmes in the East of England.
- Create a positive perception of the benefits of European funding to the region.
- Keep partners and stakeholders informed of the progress of funding delivery.

E-zine Newsletter
Quarterly e-zines to publicise the impact of European Funds in the region are sent to key stakeholders to provide examples of how money is being spent to benefit communities in the region. They outline awards and event details.
EU Structural Funds Case Studies Brochure
The ‘Changing Lives’ publicity brochure provides details of the impact of European Funds in the region. It sets out case studies of projects that have brought positive benefits to individuals and communities.

The Celebrate Awards are an opportunity to celebrate some of the fantastic achievements which have been made possible thanks, in part, to European funding. The Awards recognise the projects, people, businesses, places and communities which have benefitted from the European Social Fund, the European Regional Development Fund and the European Agricultural Guidance and Guarantee Fund.
